This Spring, Kansas City’s own Burns & McDonnell opened its doors and hearts to Ripple Glass and encouraged its employees to start (or continue!) recycling glass. Ripple’s partnership with Burns & McDonnell is a natural one, as they share many of our values and enthusiasm about recycling and living green (and purple). “As an employee owned company, that was already focused on being green, Burns & McDonnell was an obvious choice for a corporate recycling challenge,” says Co-Founder, John McDonald. Everyone here at Ripple is eager and excited to see the results of our collaboration with Burns & McDonnell.
Nearly 90 members of the Burns & McDonnell community signed the pledge to collect and recycle their glass, during a Lunch and Learn in May. Their efforts will culminate on June 15th, when they will have a company-wide glass collection day at their offices on Ward Parkway. We know they won’t stop there, though! With their continued support, and the support of our entire community, we can continue towards our next goal of TWO BILLION bottles.
