Kansas City woman receives recycling award
Michelle Goth of Kansas City, Missouri, received a Missouri Recycling Association 25th Anniversary Award at the annual Missouri Recycling Association Conference on August 10 in Osage Beach, Missouri. Goth was selected to receive this award because of her dedication and leadership in her work at Kansas City-based glass recycling company Ripple Glass.
Goth joined Ripple Glass in early 2012 as Kansas City Commercial Program Manager. She was soon promoted to the position of Regional Business Manager, where she worked with communities and businesses to initiate, manage and improve glass recycling programs. Recently, Goth was promoted again to the position of General Manager – Kansas City.
Goth’s accomplishments at Ripple Glass include working to double Ripple’s Midwest collection network and introducing recognition and incentive programs for participating communities. She also represents Ripple Glass at regional, state and national conferences.
Michael Utz, president and co-founder of Ripple Glass, calls Goth, “an important part of our company” and “a great ambassador for our industry.”
Goth has served on recycling boards throughout the region. She currently holds a seat on the Board of Directors of the Kansas Organization of Recyclers.
